Description: This elegant straight razor was made by Adrian van Deventer. Adrian is the 12 year old son of renowned knifemaker JD van Deventer and it is quite exciting that both of JD's sons (Adrian and Stefan) want to follow in his father's footsteps.
The thin, precise, hollow ground blade is formed from N690 stainless steel, ensuring a keen, long lasting edge. By using stainless steels, Adrian ensured that this blade will be easier to care for than its carbon steel cousins. The left side of the ricasso is marked WA (for Willem Adrian van Deventer).
Handle scales are formed from tamboti wood (Spirostachys africana). This wood has a nice mix of warm and dark brown tones with a swirling figure. A thin liner ensures strength and durability. The handle protects the blade from damage while not in use and is quite elegant.
This razor comes razor sharp and ready to go.
Nice work throughout!
